Services Description

User Responsibilities
Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the enquiry and booking process and throughout our engagement with you.
Property Access: You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and unobstructed access to the areas of your property requiring service on the scheduled date and time. This includes securing pets, clearing the immediate work area, and removing any items that may impede our work.
Preparation: You agree to follow any specific preparation instructions we provide before a service begins — for example, clearing furniture from rooms being plastered, ensuring adequate ventilation, or identifying any known issues with the substrate or existing surfaces.
Utilities and Services: Where relevant, you are responsible for identifying the location of any concealed utilities, pipes, or cables within walls or floors before work commences. We will not be held liable for damage to concealed services that were not disclosed prior to work beginning.
Appointments, Cancellations, and Rescheduling
Scheduling: All appointments are subject to availability and, where relevant, weather conditions — particularly for external rendering and outdoor plastering work.
Cancellation and Rescheduling: If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation charge to cover preparation costs and lost scheduling time.
Company Cancellations: We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to adverse weather conditions — particularly relevant for external rendering jobs in South Yorkshire — unsafe site conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as promptly as possible and reschedule at the earliest available opportunity.
Payments and Billing
Pricing: All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling (GBP). We reserve the right to adjust pricing, but any changes will not affect confirmed bookings already paid for or covered by a signed Service Agreement.
Payment Terms: Payment terms will be specified in your Service Agreement. Unless otherwise stated, payment is due upon completion of the work or upon receipt of an invoice.
Late Payments: Late payments may be subject to interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, or as otherwise specified in your Service Agreement.
VAT: Where applicable, VAT will be applied to invoices in accordance with current HMRC regulations. Our VAT status will be clearly stated on all invoices.
Service Guarantees and Limitations
Service Guarantee: We stand behind the quality of every plastering job we carry out across Barnsley and South Yorkshire. Specific guarantees will be outlined in your Service Agreement. We are committed to completing all work safely, professionally, and to the standard agreed upon before commencement.
Limitations: Plastering and rendering work involves inherent variables including the condition of existing substrates, moisture levels within walls, the age and construction of the property, and environmental conditions during and after application. While we apply industry-standard techniques and use quality materials on every job, results can be affected by pre-existing structural conditions, concealed damp, or factors beyond our reasonable control. We cannot be held responsible for pre-existing conditions that were not visible or disclosed at the time of the estimate.
Drying and Curing: Plaster, render, and screed require adequate drying and curing time before decoration, tiling, or other trades can follow. We will advise on expected drying times, but we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by environmental conditions such as low temperatures, poor ventilation, or high humidity — all of which are relevant considerations in South Yorkshire’s climate.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, graphics, and written content — is the property of Plasterers Barnsley South Yorkshire or its content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright and intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our express written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable UK law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Plasterers Barnsley South Yorkshire and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of the Site or Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
